The involvement of the Flaccus family with glass containers is complex and involved. While only Charles L. Flaccus actually manufactured bottles and jars, other family members used containers embossed with the Flaccus name. Flaccus Name Creswick (1987:61) illustrated a round colorless jar topped with a white milk glass insert held in place by a metal screw band. The jar was mouth blown with a continuous- thread finish and a ground rim or lip. The jar was embossed “FLACCUS BROS (no period) / MUSTARD / FRUIT JAR” (Figures 15 & 16).
